Ah, winter… when the days are short, it’s dark when I wake up and when I finish work for the day, and I can see my breath when I take the dog out in the mornings. While there aren’t a lot of things I do like about winter, I do love the seasonal drinks and flavors we get to enjoy this time of year. Today, let’s talk about winter cocktails.

Easy Mulled Wine
It’s that time of year when I want hot cocktails and beverages. With the weather cooling down and the days getting darker, sometimes a nice warm cocktail after work is just what I need. I wasn’t always a fan of hot cocktails (except the occasional spiked hot chocolate), but they’ve grown on me in my later 20s. One drink in particular that I’ve learned to love is Mulled Wine. It’s like a warm, fruity, lightly spiced hug in a mug.
Cranberry Old Fashioned
If you don’t know by now, the Old Fashioned is my favorite cocktail. It’s a classic, and I can get one almost anywhere I go. It’s also a cocktail that lends itself to flavor variations pretty well. Since it’s fall, I wanted to bring some seasonal flavors to my favorite cocktail. Enter, the Cranberry Old Fashioned.
Frozen Peach Margaritas
It’s National Tequila Day! Who would have thought I, typically a non-tequila drinker, be toasting this “holiday”? But it’s also peach season, and as y’all know, I’m obsessed with peaches. So I popped a bottle of tequila and got creative, and this was the result: Frozen Peach Margaritas!
Strawberry Mint Julep
Let’s start with a question: What’s your favorite cocktail? I’m a bourbon girl, so nine times out of ten, I opt for a bourbon cocktail. While I always love a good Old Fashioned, it’s hard to beat a frosty, classic mint julep this time of year.
Tennessee Meyer Lemonade | Another Spring Cocktail
Okay for real, is it spring yet? It’s rained more in the last month than it hasn’t in Chattanooga, and I’m over it. At least this means the plants and trees will be nice and green this year, and maybe we won’t have to worry about a drought? Anyway, until then, I’ve got another cocktail recipe that will get us in the spring spirit: a Tennessee Meyer Lemonade cocktail.
4 Fabulous Fall Drinks
They say fall is the best time for a change, so now I have a new website! I absolutely LOVE how it turned out, and my designer did an incredible job. More on that over on my Instagram. But for now, let’s celebrate fall and the holiday season (and my new website, obviously) with some tasty beverages! I’ve been working on some fabulous fall drinks and I’m excited to share a few with y’all today.
Summer Fruit Whiskey Smash
There’s nothing I love more in the summer than a refreshing cocktail. If you know me, you know I’m a bourbon and whiskey girl. My whiskey cocktails of choice include a good Old Fashioned, a mint julep or a whiskey smash. But keep those whiskey sours away from me!
