I’m back with another fun, easy cocktail recipe! A few weeks ago I shared recipes for some summer fruit whiskey smash drinks, which were delicious. But the cocktail creations don’t stop there. This time, I experimented with vodka—which I usually don’t go for—and a ginger liqueur called Big O. It’s in the same portfolio as the JW Kelly & Co. bourbon I used before, so I knew I would like it.
Life can get pretty stressful at times, especially when you stay as busy as I do. My mile-long to-do list often looks pretty overwhelming. Even if you don’t actively feel stressed, it’s important to practice self care and stress management, so you can avoid a mega-stress moment and keep anxiety to a minimum.
My friend Caroline over at Adventures in Nonsense started a Friday Five series, where she highlights five awesome things from the month, on the last Friday of the month. I love a good, easy roundup post, so I thought I’d join the fun this time! July has been a crazy fun month, and picking just five things to share was a bit difficult. But here we go!
Y’all, it’s National Wine and Cheese Day. This might be one of my new favorite food holidays. What better way to celebrate this day than with… well, wine and cheese? Time to build a cheese board! And the best news is, you don’t have to break the bank to build a gorgeous and delicious cheese board.
There’s nothing I love more in the summer than a refreshing cocktail. If you know me, you know I’m a bourbon and whiskey girl. My whiskey cocktails of choice include a good Old Fashioned, a mint julep or a whiskey smash. But keep those whiskey sours away from me!
If there’s one thing I am unashamedly “geeky” about, it’s kitchen items. I could spend hours at Bed Bath & Beyond browsing all the gadgets. There’s just so many! I wish there were Sur La Table or Le Creuset stores closer to Chattanooga, but I guess it’s better for my bank account that there’s not.
