So, right about the time I thought we wouldn’t get an actual “winter” in Tennessee, Mother Nature was like, “hahaha, made you look,” and sent a nice little cold snap our way. It didn’t get out of the 30s for several days, and now they might be calling for snow? I thought I left snow behind in Pennsylvania. As a coping method, I mixed up a new vodka cocktail that makes me think of warmer, sunnier spring days.
It’s the first Friday Five of 2019! How was the first month of the New Year for all y’all? I jumped right back into my busy routine, but it’s been really great. I’m using this post as a chance to show off a few Christmas presents I haven’t had a chance to talk about yet, and a couple new things from the past month.
Happy Friday, y’all! It’s a new year, and I’m sure there are some new faces and followers around the blog. It feels like a good time to do a round of Friday introductions, right? So let’s get acquainted (or reacquainted) with one another and really kick the new year of blogging into high gear.
Happy 2019, y’all! I hope the year has started off well for everyone. On New Year’s Eve, I went to dinner with a few friends, and then in bed and asleep by 10:45pm. It was fabulous. I woke up on January 1st refreshed and ready to take on 2019. So naturally, I’m kicking off 2019 blogging with a recipe: for celebration cake balls.
It’s that time of year, y’all. The time when we all sigh and say, “Wow, 2018 is really almost over,” and look ahead to the New Year. It’s also the time when nearly every blogger writes a big “year in review” post. This year, I’m switching it up and I’m excited to share some of my favorite things of 2018 with y’all today.
One of the things I love about Chattanooga’s food scene is that new places pop up pretty often. Last year, the West Village opened with some new restaurants, boutiques and other fun businesses. One of those restaurants is Citron Et Sel, a tequila and provisions bar. I finally got to check it out a couple weeks ago, just in time to try some of their new menu items.
