It’s good to do one of these “life lately” posts every once in a while. It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle of producing “blog-worthy” content that I forget that my random life happenings are just as important! Well, maybe not important, but just as blog-worthy.
As per usual, I’ve been staying pretty busy lately. So, without any further ado, here’s what’s been happening in my life lately, along with lots of things I’ve been loving!
If y’all have followed my blog and life for any amount of time, y’all know I like to stay busy. One of the coolest things I’ve done in Chattanooga recently is take the Chatta Brew Tour around some of the breweries in town! Each tour starts at Terminal Brewhouse and goes to three other stops. The tour I did went to Hutton & Smith, Heaven & Ale and Moccasin Bend Brewing Co. That was my first experience at the latter and I have to say it was definitely unique. The Brew Tour is great, though, and I highly recommend checking it out, especially if you’re not super into beer and looking to learn a little more!

Check out my friend’s video about the tour over on Brew Chatt, too! Book your Chatta Brew Tour on their website. They offer tours on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings.
I’ve been doing a ton of baking and experimenting in the kitchen lately, too. Not that that’s all that unusual. But I’m really proud of some of my recent creations, especially these beer brownies made with the Love Supreme milk stout from Heaven & Ale.
Another thing I’ve whipped up in the kitchen a lot lately is a fig, prosciutto and arugula flatbread. This was actually my mother’s creation but I liked it so much that I’ve been making it for myself. It’s super easy and a quick dinner to throw together when I get home from work.
Stay tuned to my Instagram stories and I’ll throw the recipe for it on there this week. Y’all can browse through more of my recipes here!
Y’all know I’m a big fan of red wine, but lately I’ve been enjoying some rose. My rose of choice lately has been Aldi’s (award-winning!) LaRue Cotes de Provence. For just $8 a bottle, it’s one of the best rose wines I’ve had lately. I stocked up on a few bottles on my last Aldi trip so I can enjoy it throughout the summer.
I’ve been enjoying my wine in my BruMate Uncork’d triple insulated wine tumbler. It keeps my wine chilled for as long as I drink it—the way rose should be enjoyed! BruMate also makes a Winesulator: a triple-insulated wine bottle so you can take your favorite drink with you AND keep it cold.
I take good care of my skin, but face masks and such weren’t ever really a huge part of my routine. Until recently! I found this Dead Sea mud mask on a lightning deal on Amazon—which had also come highly recommended by a couple of friends. For the sale price I was willing to bite, and y’all, I’m so glad I did. My skin feels great and I don’t break out nearly as much as I used to! All it takes is 1-2 treatments a week, right before my shower.
I recently took up bullet journaling as a new means of keeping my life together. Or at least trying to keep it together. So far I’m liking it, and it’s helping me stay more organized! This is my journal of choice, and I’m obsessed with these pens. I’ll do a full post on my bullet journaling process later.
And lastly, my favorite thing about summer in Chattanooga has returned: CFC season! We had several friendlies in February, March and April, and the full season started in May.
If y’all remember, last year I traveled down to New Orleans for CFC’s league opener—it was my first spontaneous trip! This year I planned a little more and went to Asheville (my body couldn’t handle another round of New Orleans). We only went for a day and a night but we definitely made the most of our time there.

So there’s a little overview of what’s been going on in my life lately. If I didn’t stay busy, I wouldn’t have anything to tell all y’all about!
What’s been happening in your life lately? Tell me something exciting!
