I find myself saying this a lot recently: “In a perfect world,” something would or would not happen, or be possible. Most of the time I’m kidding or being sarcastic to some degree. Other times, well, maybe I’m onto something. But all jokes aside, here are some things that, in a perfect world, would be real and not just my own wishes.IN A PERFECT WORLD…

Friends would still be on TV, and Two and a Half Men would have been done when Charlie Sheen got fired.

Pollen wouldn’t exist. Anywhere. Ever.

A Lilly Pulitzer dress wouldn’t cost an arm, a leg and half a kidney.

Eyebrows would never need waxing; they’d just be perfect all the time, from birth. It would save lots of women (and some men, but they won’t admit they need it) a world of pain and agony, and money.

“I love you” would only be said when the person saying it truly means it.

Parenting would not be a foreign concept (to some people).

“Skinny” or “thin” would not be a standard for beauty.

Jimmy John’s would always be within delivery distance.

Cookout would deliver, period. This is why.

Football would be a year-round sport. February – August just isn’t fair.

People would understand that you just don’t wear white after Labor Day and before Easter.

Lucky Charms cereal would actually be lucky charms.

Penguins could be pets.

Because how can you say “no” to this face?
