I’ve been blogging for just over three years. I love what I do, and I love what blogging has shown and taught me in those three years. What I thought would be a side hobby has evolved into a passion that I
now can’t imagine not having in my life. My boyfriend jokes about my blog obsession every now and then, but I’m pretty sure he knows that dating a blogger is awesome and he’s one lucky guy.

“So what makes dating a blogger so wonderful?” you might ask. Well…
Bloggers are creative. We constantly think of fresh content and ideas to share, and how to say and write our thoughts in a fresh way. It’s not as easy as it sounds. Also, we like to craft and tackle DIY projects. Got a birthday or a special occasion coming up? Your blogger’s been thinking about your gift for months prior to the actual occasion. And dates are forever covered. She’ll never run out of ideas.
They take lots of pictures. You and your blogger will never go somewhere without her fancy
camera, and she’ll rarely, if ever, take less than 20 photos. Those pictures may be primarily for her next post, but she also snapped you some memories and reminders of your good times together. Need a picture from an event, date or trip to show your family and/or friends? Ask your blogger; she’ll have one. Or send a link to her blog, because she’s more than likely already posted the pictures.

They’re sociable and love meeting new people. Part of being a blogger is reading and following other blogs, and in turn “meeting” fellow bloggers. This quality comes in handy at social events, where your blogger will have no trouble making new friends and striking up new conversations. She might even meet another blogger. That’s a whole new connection.
Their thirst for knowledge and learning new things never runs dry. This goes along with creativity. Personally, I love trying new crafts, DIYs, and recipes, and I love blogging about it later. If I can learn something new from another blogger, then yet another blogger can certainly learn something from me. This also applies to date outings. Be ready to try new things together, like cooking or cake decorating or stand-up paddleboarding. And yes, the experience will be featured on the blogosphere soon after.
And lastly, you should date a blogger because they’re passionate. Whatever they purport to do or accomplish, they’ll put their heart and soul into it, and will share their story for all to enjoy. Bloggers’ passion is infectious.
To make a play on the old joke… “If you’re dating a blogger, raise your glass. If you’re not, raise your standards.” We’re a fun bunch.
What do you think makes (or would make) dating a blogger fun?
