I did one of these back in the summer. Life is a bit different now, so I thought it was time for another glimpse into my life lately. Thanks for inadvertently reminding me of this, Erica!
Making: edible goodies to take to Blacksburg this weekend!
Cooking: a lot of dinners for myself! I made meatloaf and sweet potatoes last week, and baked ravioli this week.
Drinking: I’ve become a bit of a wino, so I enjoy a nice glass of white wine every now and then. North Carolina wine is awesome.
Reading: I just finished Emily Giffin’s The One and Only. Won’t say here exactly how I felt about it, but I will say that I need something new to read! Suggestions?
Wanting: to paint something again soon. Like something really cool, like my lighthouse piece.
Playing: Yellowcard’s new album “Lift a Sail” and New Found Glory’s latest release “Resurrection.” Both are awesome!
Wasting: away again in Margaritaville… (just kidding, I’m not a margarita person).
Enjoying: a nice cup of tea every night before I go to bed. Seriously, it helps me sleep better. And tea is good for you, especially green tea. And oolong.
|Love my “Tea Duckie” infuser. Isn’t it cute?|
Waiting: for Thanksgiving break to get here.
Liking: my giant 48-count “Winter Celebration Pack” of coffee K-cups. The gingerbread is probably my favorite.
Loving: leggings. Yes, I’ve been converted. They’re easy and comfortable and I can make them work with a lot of different things in my closet.
Hoping: for a Hokie win this weekend! We need it. Badly. Also hoping that “real” fall weather gets here and stays here. It’s almost November, I’m ready for sweaters and pea coats and scarves.
Learning: more than I know what to do with, in school and in life in general.
Needing: to be patient with myself and the work I’m doing in my program. Everything will come together and make sense sooner or later. It won’t happen immediately.
Watching: Chopped on Food Network! There’s also a collection on Netflix now.
Wearing: lots of leggings and sweaters and scarves. Hello fall!
Knowing: that greatness takes time.
Thinking: Oh God I have a lot of things to accomplish before Thanksgiving…and before Christmas. But remembering that it’s not something I haven’t faced before, and I can do it.
Feeling: like maybe I can do this.
What’s your life like lately?
