Who doesn’t love Christmas music? I shared my favorite Christmas playlist a couple days ago, so this time, I will focus on some of my favorite individual songs and hymns.
Being involved in music, I was quite exposed to Christmas music. Whether in a symphony, a small chamber ensemble, or in a bell choir at my church, I played Christmas music for a month or two at the end of almost every year. I loved playing Christmas hymn medleys, especially on bells.
Some of my favorite hymns include: O Come All Ye Faithful, Hark! The Herald, Joy to the World, and Away in a Manger.
Outside of traditional Christmas music, I love anything produced by Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Their album The Lost Christmas Eve is fantastic, as well as Christmas Eve and Other Stories.
And you can guess what my favorite TSO song is…
I also love this one…
Even at Christmastime, sometimes you still need some rock & roll.
