My friend Caroline over at Adventures in Nonsense started a Friday Five series, where she highlights five awesome things from the month, on the last Friday of the month. I love a good, easy roundup post, so I thought I’d join the fun this time! July has been a crazy fun month, and picking just five things to share was a bit difficult. But here we go!
Y’all, it’s National Wine and Cheese Day. This might be one of my new favorite food holidays. What better way to celebrate this day than with… well, wine and cheese? Time to build a cheese board! And the best news is, you don’t have to break the bank to build a gorgeous and delicious cheese board.
There’s nothing I love more in the summer than a refreshing cocktail. If you know me, you know I’m a bourbon and whiskey girl. My whiskey cocktails of choice include a good Old Fashioned, a mint julep or a whiskey smash. But keep those whiskey sours away from me!
If there’s one thing I am unashamedly “geeky” about, it’s kitchen items. I could spend hours at Bed Bath & Beyond browsing all the gadgets. There’s just so many! I wish there were Sur La Table or Le Creuset stores closer to Chattanooga, but I guess it’s better for my bank account that there’s not.
This week marks three years of living in Chattanooga. How crazy is that?! I moved here in 2015, fresh out of grad school, didn’t know a single person and was some combination of excited and terrified. Fortunately that fear didn’t last long, and I am more than proud to call myself a Chattanoogan.
After living here for three years, it’s easy to see that there are so many wonderful reasons to visit Chattanooga.
